The best live Ramble recording available (5/5) Oct 25, 2008 Mark lavine Cooperstown NY US
Having heard this show on the live webcast, it was a pleasure to get my own copy. Great sound and great performances by all the usual suspects. Little Sammy and Sam Bush deserve special mention, now we can Ramble on the road while driving to the Ramble at Levon's. Recordings of the shows at the Barn would sell like hotcakes, so to speak, and we all would want as many as were released since each Ramble has different guests, songs etc. For now, though, this recording is as good it gets.

Having attended 4% of the !st 100 Rambles, Gill Farm in '07, and Woodstock Playhouse in '06 and '08; I had asked on multiple occasions about songs on this new album.
I look forward to purchasing it at the 11/22/08 Ramble!! THANKS.
This IS Levon Helm at his BEST (5/5) Aug 28, 2009 Joe Fox Buffalo NY US
Except for one non Levon female vocal, I really love this CD. Levon is my favorite R 'n R drummer and has been for some 40 odd years!

If you have never been to a Ramble, this CD is a must-have!
Ramble On! (5/5) Oct 24, 2008 Patrick On CA
Have been to 2 Rambles in Woodstock and booked for another. This is about as close as it gets. Have this CD in the car and have my very own version of a Ramble On the Road!
Great sound from a great band, with Levon in fine voice and an awesome band, with Larry, Teresa, Amy and a horn section that blows the doors off. A "Rock of Ages" for 2008.
Jubilation (5/5) Apr 3, 2009 Scott Hieber NJ US
What a terrific band with all the voices and instruments working so tightly together and still keeping the fresh, jsut friends flavor. And oh what the brass section does to heighten all these tunes.

An eclectic blend of all the kinds of music that Levon loves, country, blues, rhythm & blues. . . -- a real tree with roots .

Hard to say who has more fun at Levon helm concerts, the audience or Levon. It's a joy to hear the band and joy to what him having fun up there on stage. This CD is great capture of the recent concerts. And the sound/recording quality is very good, although I'd listen to it if it was pressed on graham crackers.
