Levon and Amy Helm will volunteer their talents to "The
Musicians On Call Program" at Sloan Kettering Memorial
Hospital in Manhattan. Levon and Amy will sing and perform
for young children who are being treated for cancer in this
wonderful program that has been proven to diminish their
pain and suffering.

Booker High School Sarasota, Florida
On February 4, 2005, The Levon Helm Band, starring Little
Sammy Davis will participate in a Blues In The Schools type
program at the Booker High School in Sarasota, Florida.
Students and faculty will listen to the music of the legends
and end the program with an interview session with both
Levon and Little Sammy. Levon will present a $1000
scholarship check to a deserving student from The Levon Helm
Music Scholarship Fund, sponsored by People's Community Bank
of Sarasota, Florida.
February 03, 05 Sarasota Film Festival Sarasota,
Florida
A Tribute to Movies and Music.
On Thursday, February 3rd, 2005, the Sarasota Film Festival
hosts an evening of Rock – n – Roll. The event will be held
at Krome Nightclub and will begin at 9:00 pm. Every year,
numerous featured music celebrities including Aerosmith,
Cheap Trick, Tom Scott, etc. make surprise visits to the
Sarasota Film Festival. This year’s event is expected to
carry on the Rock-n-Roll tradition of anything can happen.
The event begins with a performance by the New York Band,
Lez Zeppelin. This all female band has become nationally
known for their perfect recreation of the music and stage
performance of Led Zeppelin. The evening will also feature
the presentation of the Jack Douglas Music Achievement
Award. Jack Douglas is a legendary music producer who has
worked with artists such as John Lennon, The Who, Aerosmith,
Alice Cooper, Cheap Trick and Slash.
February 2005, The Jack Douglas Award was presented to Levon
Helm. He is considered one of the most talented musicians
over the last thirty years evidenced by his 1993 induction
into the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame.
Following the award presentation, there will be celebrity
music jam. Tickets includes valet parking, complementary
beer, wine bar and gourmet food.
January 19, 05 John Jay Senior High School
Wappingers, New York
The Levon Helm Band, starring Little Sammy Davis will help
kick-off "The Blues in the Schools Program" at John Jay
Senior High School in Wappingers, New York. The program,
being organized by Assistant Principal Rochelle Pyne, will
give students an opportunity to interview and ask questions
of the two legends - Levon Helm and Little Sammy Davis -
regarding their musical history and how 'the blues' has
influenced their careers. The program will end with The
Levon Helm Band playing a 40-minute set for the students and
teachers. Although this is a closed session (public will not
be admitted) we do want everyone to know about Levon's
schedule and his never-ending commitment to children and
young adults.
